Larry and I (Nannette) had an unexpected surprise recently. Some friends of ours at our church introduced us to Nick and Sabra, who became engaged recently after meeting one another on our web site. They were visiting from out of town, so we invited them to stay in our home for the night.

We had the pleasure of also meeting Nick's family, where we heard the entire story of how they met. Sabra had been online for a while, whereas Nick joined later and found an interest in Sabra immediately. The two started communicating and finally met.

A story within a story is that Nick's father, Jeff, had been praying one evening that God would show him a sign that this was the right person for Nick. The next morning, Jeff and his wife, Lorraine's, best friends were traveling to a church in another state, and got lost. They ended up at a different church, where they met and became acquainted with Sabra's mother! Oh, there are so many more details than I am sharing, but this was a sign to Jeff.

Sabra eventually came out to meet Nick at his family's home. On the way home from the airport, Nick stopped off at his family's office, where he proposed on bended knee (and Dad had secreted in two video cameras to record the event).

Sabra's mother had encouraged her to join our web site. And since Nick is from a small town, Nick's father had encouraged him to look on the internet for a bride. Ours was the first website he found!

Nick read and follows the "I kissed dating goodbye" book principles. The couple plans to marry this spring, and plans that their wedding day will be the first time that Nick kisses a woman -- and it will be his new bride.

It was great meeting this young couple and we are so happy for them and all those who meet one another on our site and find a match ordained by God.
