My load is, so heavy Lord...
It's more than I can bear
I brought it to You yesterday
But, still, the pain is there
I've carried it so long, Lord
My heart is weak and sore
I can bear this load no more.
Then Jesus smiled and took my hand
A twinkle in His eye
He said, "I know it's heavy child
And there's a reason why.
Each time you brought your burden up
The hill of Calvary,
You picked it up on your way down,
Just leave it at the tree!"
